We retain different categories of personal data for the following periods:

Institutional Debates. For debates conducted under an institutional partnership agreement, retention periods may be governed by the applicable agreement, which may specify different retention windows.

Inactive Accounts. Accounts inactive for 24 consecutive months may have their associated debate recordings purged. We will provide 60 days advance notice before any such purge.

Purge Process. Upon expiration of the applicable retention period or upon a valid deletion request, recordings are permanently deleted from our primary storage and all backup systems within 30 days.

We implement reasonable safeguards to protect your personal information, including:

• Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is protected using TLS (Transport Layer Security).
• Access controls: Access to personal data is restricted to authorized personnel on a need-to-know basis, enforced through role-based access controls.
• Infrastructure security: Our servers are hosted with Hetzner Online GmbH in Helsinki, Finland.
• Regular reviews: We conduct periodic reviews of our security practices and update them in response to emerging threats.

However, no system is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, and we encourage you to use strong passwords and protect your account credentials.
